Assistant Coach

August Cook

Originally from Syracuse, NY. I graduated from SUNY Purchase with a bachelor's degree in music, where I also competed as a student-athlete swimming NCAA Div. III. Currently, I'm at CU Boulder, diving into my second bachelor's degree as a senior in mechanical engineering. When I'm not hitting the books, you can find me at the CU Rec center as a personal swim trainer. But when the snow starts falling, I swap for my other goggles as an avid skier and ski instructor at Eldora Ski Resort. Passionate about music, engineering, and swimming, I enjoy maintaining a healthy active lifestyle. My goal with BAM is to motivate an active lifestyle in others through swimming while offering guidance as needed.

Assistant Coach

Brandon Del Campo

Lover of all things endurance, Brandon was a former elite and top age group triathlete. Prior to that he ran for the Bruins at UCLA doing cross-country and track. He loves coaching people to their best potential with a goal of making it fun along the way. He learned to swim as an adult and has a philosophy of longer sets and ones that incorporate active recovery instead of wall time (25% of the time). Currently, you can still find him in the water at BAM workouts, running with masters athletes, riding all the types of bikes and skinning up Eldora with the 7am crowd in the winter.

Assistant Coach

Marie Chamberlain

Marie spent her childhood in both Colorado and on Cape Cod, where she fell in love with competitive swimming. In high school, Marie was a 4-time State Champion and Boston All-Scholastic Athlete. Her hard work and dedication to both swimming and academics brought her to the collegiate level, where she competed on the varsity level for Indiana University from 2014-2018. While in college, Marie swam herself to both Big Ten and All-American honors, in addition to making the Dean's list for her studies in psychology and business. In 2016 Marie competed at the swimming Olympic Trials. After graduation, Marie moved to Summit County where she has worked as a ski and snowboard instructor, swim instructor, coordinator of the Dillon Marina sailing school, and completed her Master's in Business. Marie has since moved to Broomfield and is an assistant coach for the Front Range Barracudas Swim Team and Head Coach for Erie High School Girls Swim. Marie continues to compete in swimming today and hopes to complete her PhD in sports psychology in the near future.

Assistant Coach

Mike Ricci

Mike's goals as a BAM coach are to incorporate technique into every session along with a challenging set that pushes his swimmers to do a little more than they think they are capable of.

Assistant Coach

Shaya Naimi

Shaya is pursuing her MS in Aerospace Engineering at CU. She comes from UCLA, where she studied math and sat in a lot of traffic. She was probably the youngest ever (illegal) Masters swimmer since tagging along to practices with her mom as a little kid, and hasn't stopped since! When she isn't studying or training, she is probably eating or preparing to eat.

Assistant Coach

Christine Lipson

She loves swimming and coaching outside, even in the cold and snow. She believes that master's swimmers want to have a great workout and have fun with their friends while doing it. Bring your fins, paddles, pull buoys, and snorkels to her practices. She believes in "adulting," so she incorporates a variety of equipment into her workouts. She enjoys working with sprinters and endurance athletes, having been one herself.

Kimberly Goodell

Her objective as a Masters coach is to tap into whatever excites people about swimming (improving skills, making muscles burn, spending time with friends, practicing math, etc). Her goal is to keep swimmers motivated and engaged with workouts that meet those needs.

Assistant Coach

Pete Nestel

He was nicknamed “Fish” at 6 years old, already showing his skills in the water and his competitiveness as a youth swimmer. He coaches all ages, abilities, and genders to be a fish like himself; with a keen eye for biomechanics and skills in the water, and for helping everyone find the “Fish” in them!

Coaching at BAM is a wonderful opportunity for Pete to work with a broad range of competitive swimmers and triathletes and share decades of knowledge, experience, and his unending love for the water and swimming.

Assistant Coach

Susan Einberger

I have always been a full time student or had a full time career while pursuing competitive athletics. I understand a 60 minute swim session may be the only break one gets from the other demands of life. I strive to write workouts that are fun and improve a swimmer’s efficiency in the water.
